The modified Lennard-Jones model is given by (Eq. 2 [1]):

Φ12(r)={4ϵ[(σr)12−(σr)6]+C1r≤2.3σC2(σr)12+C3(σr)6+C4(rσ)2+C52.3σ<r<2.5σ02.5σ≤r

where C1=0.016132ϵ, C2=3136.6ϵ C3=−68.069ϵ C4=0.083312ϵ and C5=0.74689ϵ. These parametrs are chosen so that the function Φ12(r), as well as the first derivative, is continuous both at r=2.3σ and r=2.5σ. These parameters have recently been recalculated with greater precision by Asano and Fuchizaki [2], leading to C1=0.0163169237ϵ, C2=3136.5686ϵ C3=68.069ϵ Failed to parse (syntax error): {\displaystyle C_4 = −0.0833111261\epsilon} and C5=0.746882273ϵ. Note however, that it seems that both C3 and C4 should be negative for these parameters to work.
