Hard spheroellipsoids have only two shape parameters; the aspect ratio Failed to parse (SVG (MathML can be enabled via browser plugin): Invalid response ("Math extension cannot connect to Restbase.") from server "https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/":): {\displaystyle c/a} of the ellipsoidal component, and the cutoff Failed to parse (SVG (MathML can be enabled via browser plugin): Invalid response ("Math extension cannot connect to Restbase.") from server "https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/":): {\displaystyle z_0/a} . These two parameters can be tuned to yield a continuous transformation between the hard ellipsoid model and a spherocylinder[1].
