Nicholas Metropolis

Nicholas Constantine Metropolis (June 11, 1915 – Los Alamos, Nuevo Mexico, October 17, 1999) was an American mathematician, physicist, and computer scientist. He is one of the founders of the Metropolis Monte Carlo method.
